How to complain about a Life Insurance Company |
||||||||||||||||||
|
If you have a complaint with a Life Insurance Company then your first course of action is to write to their Compliance Director. For details on how to complain, refer to the booklet issued to you by your insurer when you applied for your life insurance policy. The insurance company will investigate your complaint and will reply in writing once they have reached a conclusion. If you are not happy with their conclusion and you have been financially affected as a result of your dealings with them, then you can refer your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service. They are an independent organisation and will carry out an independent investigation of their own. The results of their investigation and their recommendations, including any compensation, will be legally binding for both you and the insurance company in question. |
