How does one make a claim on a life insurance policy? |

Whether the insurance was bought through an insurance broker or not, the claim needs to be made directly to the Insurer who issued the policy. Along with the policy documents there will be a booklet containing information about how to claim. If a claim arises and you or your family cannot find the advice booklet, then telephone the insurance company and they will talk you through the process. If you can't find the policy they can send you out new documents. If you don't know who the policy is held with then contact the bank to see what company the monthly premiums are paid to. To make the claim you need to follow the steps below - if you have all the information to hand then you can expect a speedy payout:
