If the policy documents have been lost, can a claim still be made? |

If the policy documents are lost then you need to contact your Insurance Company or Broker for a ‘Lost Policy Claim Form’. Policy documents often go astray, so as long as you have proof of identity then you can still make a claim on the policy. If you are the next of kin and you don’t know whom the policy is with, then the best thing to do is contact the policyholder’s Bank, and they will be able to access the name of the company that the monthly premiums are paid to. Once you’ve identified the insurance company, contact them by telephone for a Lost Policy Claim Form to complete - and you should have no problems after that. |
