Is the price I was initially quoted, the price I’ll pay? |

|
Not always - the price you pay depends on the more detailed information that you provide in the application form. The original quotation will have been based on a number of assumptions - that you are in good health for your age, that you do not have a dangerous occupation, you have no family history of ill-health, you do not have dangerous hobbies, you don’t frequently visit countries with known health issues and you have a generally healthy lifestyle. If any of these assumptions are incorrect then your application form will show this and the insurance company may request still more information. If you have health issues they may want you to have a medical, but this doesn't necessarily mean that they will automatically charge you a higher premium. In our experience, 88% of people qualify for the initial quoted price. |
